بھاشا ڈیم کا پہلا افتتاح 1998 میں نواز شریف نےکیا۔2006 میں جنرل پرویز مشرف نےافتتاح کیا۔ 2011 میں یوسف رضا گیلانی نے۔ 2017 میں پھرنوازشریف نےاور 2018 میں چیف جسٹس ثاقب نثار کا فنڈ۔۔ آج 2020 میں عمران خان نے افتتاح کیا۔ ڈیم منصوبہ1980سے بننا شروع ہوا اور ابھی تک جاری ھے.
