Afghanistan was always in AK47 zone.... There was not a single M4 during the entire Soviet Afghan war.... But the American occupation has brought about a very interesting mix of weaponry.... Now you find M4 and AK 47 side by side often competing with each other...

When I was part of Afghan Mujahideen, we defeated the Soviet Union using the Soviet weapons..... Either snatched from the Soviet army or given to us by our allies. But Afghan Taliban have gone a step further..... They only snatched from the Americans & the Afghan army.

After post 9/11 US toppling of Taliban govt in Afghanistan, Could anyone, even in their wildest imagination, believe that after 2 decades Taliban would again emerge as global players respected by super powers? Courage, faith & resilience always trumps technology & brutality...

History of major wars between Pakistan and India suggest the months of September to December.... After the monsoon season.... I have a strong feeling that Indians are over committing themselves and may not be able to withdraw even if they want to.... We need to be careful..
