When nations go to war, there is always a cost benefit analysis.The "cost of the empire' has to be given! It was right choice by Zia then! Presence of US forces in Afgh today & the anarchy in Pakistan because of it, confirms that Zia's decision to eject foreign forces was correct. Rule is simple - any extra regional forces in Afghanistan means war inside Pakistan. Afghan civil war does not threaten us. Occupation does! There was a civil war inside Afghanistan between 1992 to 2001 - Mujahideen Vs Taliban Vs northern alliance - BUT NO terrorism in Pakistan.
This is undeniable fact - NO terrorism in Pakistan at all during Afghan civil war decade. It was US occupation which brought death to us. Over a 100,000 Pakistanis & nearly 120,000 Afghans killed or wounded because of US & NATO occupation. Million more in Iraq/Syria. Disgusting.
How can we NOT blame US/NATO for their war crimes. Under US watch TTP was created in 2004 in Guantanamo. BLA was revived at same time.
