All of you know MM Alam sahib but few of you know that he was one of my mentors, fatherly figure, teacher, comrade in arms and a fellow Mujahid with me in the Afghan Jihad. I translated my book From Indus to Oxus upon his urging though he passed away before the Urdu version was published..
